UF Outdoor Team Challenge Course (UFOTCC) Program Offerings and Descriptions

Time information below is based on 24 participants.  

Time needed varies based on a variety of factors.  

Team-Building (1-2 hours)

Field Activities

Short on time, but want to get everyone engaged with some lively activities? A Team-Building session is perfect if your group has members meeting for the first time, is initiating new members, or just wants to have a challenging new experience. A Team-Building session is comprised of icebreakers, initiatives, and low-risk challenges that occur in an open space setting to get participants moving and active.

Half Day Low Challenge Course (3-4 hours)

Field Activities and Low Challenge Course Elements

Have a few hours and want to challenge your group with activities on the ground? The Low Challenge Course provides low-risk challenges in a combination of field and wooded settings. Low Challenge Course activities builds a foundation of effective teamwork and may incorporate balancing, jumping, or climbing on special structures. Each activity can be adapted to accommodate most ability types and participant safety is managed by trained facilitators. During the program, time is taken to discuss the challenges of the activities and relate the experiences back to "everyday life" situations.

Low Course & Alpine Tower Combo (at least 4 hours)     

Field Activities, Low Challenge Course Elements, and Alpine Tower

Have limited time, but still want your group to get off the ground and in the air? The Low Course and Alpine Tower Combo begins with Team-Building activities in the field. Next, the group advances to elements on the Low Challenge Course to build a functional foundation of trust and cohesion. After facing challenges on the ground, group members have the option to climb on the Alpine Tower. While at the Alpine Tower, participants *learn how to belay and back-up belay their fellow group members as they climb.

Full Day Low Challenge Course (6-8 hours)

Field Activities and Low Challenge Course Elements

Looking for a full day of fun and teambuilding for your group? The Full Day Low Course begins with Team-Building activities in the field. Next, the group advances to elements on the Low Challenge Course to build a functional foundation of trust and cohesion. Groups may elect to stay at the Low Challenge Course to complete elements that become progressively challenging.

Low & High Course Combo (6-8 hours)

Field Activities, Low Challenge Course Elements, and High Challenge Course (can include the Zip Line and Leap of Faith)

Ready to take your group to new heights? The Low and High Course Combo starts off with Team-Building and Low Challenge Course activities to build a functional foundation of trust and cohesion. After facing challenges on the ground, the group advances to the High Challenge Course. Participants are secured on a belay system with supervision from a trained facilitator and will be given low-risk challenges throughout the course. High Challenge Course activities may incorporate balancing, jumping, or climbing on special structures up to a height of approximately 35 feet in the air. Each activity can be adapted to accommodate most ability levels and participant safety is our first priority.

Alpine Tower – Private Climbing Session (at least 3 hours)

Want to climb while bonding as a group? Group members have a variety of elements they can climb on our Alpine Tower, ranging in challenge intensity. For instance, climbers can go straight up different vertical poles or may choose to try any of these obstacles: Beanstalk, Team Beam, Corporate Ladder, Missing Link, Diabolical Seesaw, Hanging Cargo Net, Hanging Ropes, Karma Platform, and Etriers.

Facilitators provide harnesses, helmets, belay devices, and belay instruction to the group members before climbing. Participants *learn how to belay and back-up belay their fellow group members as they climb.

UFOTCC Off-Site Programs -

The UFOTCC offers off-site courses by request. With the small group format, we bring a Team-Building session to your location. We have activities that allow us to work in a variety of places.

In the large group format, we offer icebreakers, energizing activities, and more to add to your meeting or event. The activities that we provide are selected by group need, size, and location.
