YOU'RE DEAD TO ME TAKES OUT JIMINY KICK-IT IN EXTRAS

It took 9-innings for You're Dead to Me to finally take out Jiminy Kick-It 7-6 in extra innings to win the 2008 Summer Co-Rec Kickball Tournament.  A regular game should only be 4 innings, but if You're Dead to Me would score in the top of the inning, Jiminy Kick-It would tie it in the bottom.  The play of the game came in the top of the 5th inning with two out when You're Dead to Me captain Brian Herbeck would take a head first slide into first base, barely beating the throw.  His kick scored the game tying run and they stayed alive in the tournament.  Herbeck nearly seperated his shoulder on the play, but shook the dirt off and returned to play.  Finally they would put up one run in the 9th as Jiminy Kick-It couldn't match it.  Final score 7-6 You're Dead to Me through 9 innings.  Be sure to check out our upcoming events and more headlines on the right hand side!
