CORE Grant

The Center for Outdoor Recreation and Education (CORE) Grant will be providing up to $2,000 per academic year to students who wish to participate in a CORE Trip.  CORE Trips have been shown to decrease stress levels, increase feelings of belonging, and help contribute to the development of a strong sense of self.  The Department of Recreational Sports believes that these factors, in addition to physical activity, are key components of a successful student.  The CORE Grant hopes to eliminate financial barriers for students who wish to participate in valuable trip experiences.  In Spring 2018, CORE will award several grants, in addition to a trip rental gear waiver.
