Officials and Scorekeepers

Do you love being involved with sports? Are you the type of person that critiques and second-guesses the officials when you watch a game on television? Then come see what being an official is all about. We will teach you all you need to know. Being a sports official is a great way to learn to problem-solve, manage conflict, build confidence and become adept at having difficult conversations.

No experience or application needed, attend one (or multiple) of the information sessions below to work for RecSports as an official/scorekeeper.

Each year, the Intramural Sports program hires over 200 UF students to officiate and keep score during our Intramural Sports contests.  In order to be hired for an officials or scorekeeper position, each applicant must attend the rules session for each position they wish to apply for AS WELL AS fill out a student employment application through the Careers @ UF system. Search "Recreational Sports – Intramural Sports". Only one application is needed for any position.
