“Fitlosophy” (Philosophy regarding fitness, wellness, health, etc):

Being a personal trainer is incredibly meaningful to me. A few years ago, I came to RecSports as a client in search of a healthier lifestyle and an effective coping mechanism for my mental health. Within a year, I went from being a completely sedentary person to someone who loves exercise. Now, as a trainer, I know that there is a space in fitness for every person. Whether it be through weightlifting, calisthenics, recreational sports or any other form of exercise, each person can find an enjoyable way to move their body. It is the job of a personal trainer to do their best to understand a clients’ goals and the environmental factors that can affect one’s health. I promise that I will put my finest effort into listening to my client’s story and in helping them reach their goals. In my two and a half years of being a trainer, I’ve worked with a diverse group of clients. From beginners, to clients desiring a change in physique, to clinical populations and more. As a professional and academic, it is my mission to help improve access and inclusivity in fitness and as your trainer, you will see this mission translate into our sessions.
