Operations Associate

The Operations Team manages the daily operations of the Southwest Recreation Center and Student Recreation & Fitness Center. Operations Associates serve RecSports participants by preparing the buildings for opening and closing, overseeing equipment checkout, supervising the weight room and cardio spaces, and providing participants with information that will assist in their experience with RecSports.

Unit Specific Job Responsibilities

• Supervise activity in programmed and non-programmed areas in indoor and outdoor facilities and enforce policies and procedures throughout the recreation centers and field spaces 

• Oversee equipment check-out/check-in and usage by participants and Check equipment for damage and report broken equipment 

• Track and maintain participation counts throughout the facility 

• Assist program participants and facility users regularly, on the phone and in-person, with all aspects of the Recreational Sports Program 

Requirements/Qualifications

• First Aid, CPR, AED certification or ability to attain it within first week of employment
• Interest in recreation, fitness, and campus involvement
• Availability to work nights and weekend hours
• Availability to work 9-12 hours, at minimum, each week
• Successful completion of department training requirements once hired
• Complete and maintain UF online certifications GET803, OOC101, PRV802, ITT102, GET811
