Welcome to RecSplorers

We aim to enhance the UF community by encouraging the development of the whole person. We also strive to inspire self-discovery and foster a sense of belonging through inclusive recreational experiences. Each camp offers your camper the opportunity to explore aspects of wellness including physical, intellectual, social, and emotional elements through activities such as sports, group fitness classes, and outdoor recreation.

Who is Eligible to Register?

RecSplorers is designed for children aged 6-12 years old. Campers must have completed kindergarten and be 6 years old by the beginning of the first camp you enroll them in.

Who are the Staff?

Youth Programs staff members are selected after a competitive application process that includes group interviews and a thorough background check. Once selected, our staff are trained in their camp responsibilities and required to have up to date certifications in first-aid and CPR. All our counselors are University of Florida students that have a desire to share their appreciation for recreation and learning with youth in the community.
