- Swimming ends 30 mins before closing.
- The Swim Area is closed December 14 – March 10, and on days when the “feels like” temperature is below 70°F. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Rainout Line for swim area closures.

Boating at Lake Wauburg
- All boating is dependent on weather and equipment availability. Wind, rain, and lightning conditions may create temporary closures.
- A Boating Pass is required to rent a watercraft. Click here for more info on our Boating Day Pass and Annual Pass.

- The following boats are available for rental:
- Single Kayak – 1 person
- Double Kayak – 2 people
- Stand-Up Paddleboard – 1 person
- Canoe – up to 3 people
- Pedal Boat – 2-4 people
- Jon Boat – 2-3 people
- Hobie Cat Sailboat – up to 4 people
- Sailing Certification Required, ask Staff for more information
- FJs – through UF Club Sailing
Sailing at Lake Wauburg
- Lake Wauburg has Hobie Cat Wave Sailboats available for rental.
- Successful completion of a Sail Test is required to check out a Hobie Cat Wave Sailboat.
- Sail Test
- Prior sailing experience is required.
- Sail Test are first come, first serve and depend of staff availability.
- Sail Test are not administered during weekend operations.
- If a participant does not pass the Sail Test, they must wait a minimum of 7 days before retesting.

- Tests comprise of a written and practical portion.
