Updates to Program Offerings:

  • The American Red Cross is offering Provisional Course Certification, which will enable new and re-certifying individuals to receive a provisional certificate indicating the student has taken the cognitive portion of the course.
  • It will state that the student has 90 days to execute a skills check to receive a full First Aid/CPR/AED certification that meets OSHA requirements.

This Blended Learning Course helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies in adults, children, and infants.  It includes an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skills session. THE ONLINE PORTION MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE ATTENDING THE IN-CLASS PORTION!  The online portion must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high-speed Internet connection.  Most learners complete the online portion in approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.  PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE YOUR INSTRUCTOR WITH PROOF THAT YOU COMPLETED THE ONLINE PORTION!  A link to the online training and directions for providing proof of completing the online portion will be included in your registration confirmation email.

This course is designed for: UF RecSports employees (non-lifeguards), students that require certification for internships or jobs, or individuals that are interested in learning basic First Aid/CPR/AED.
