American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor

The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED courses by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions, and how to evaluate participants’ progress.

The course is offered in a blended learning format that includes:
• FA/CPR/AED Instructor Course online session—designed to be completed in approximately 2 hours.
• FA/CPR/AED Instructor Course in-person session—designed to be completed in approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes

Prerequisites:

  • Possess a current American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certificate (or equivalent)

Course Offerings:

Refund & Transfer Policies

Certification Courses may be granted a refund under the following circumstances:
• In the event of cancellation by RecSports.
• In the event the registered participant has documented medical circumstances that will not allow them to participate.
• Lifeguard & Instructor classes: a partial refund may be provided in the event a registered participant does not pass the prerequisite skills evaluation. A $50 administrative charge will be deducted from the refund amount.
Transfer of Course Registration
• A registered participant may request a transfer to a different offering of the same course for no additional cost.
• Transfer requests must be made in writing before the course begins and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
