CHANGES stands for: create habits, adopt new growth, and enhance self. These pillars guide the program by emphasizing holistic wellness, which cultivates a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. CHANGES focuses on building community, empowerment, cardiorespiratory fitness, and performance-based training; all of which has been proven to increase physical activity adherence and decrease symptoms of metabolic syndrome.
What to Expect
CHANGES is recommended for individuals who are new or returning to physical activity. The program includes:
10-week course hosted each semester
Connection to a cohort of up to 20 Gators
Facility tours and orientations
Goal-setting workshops with a Certified Health Education Specialist
Nutrition workshops with a Registered Dietitian
Two 60-minute physical movement sessions/week, coached by certified fitness professionals

CHANGES is recommended for individuals who are new or returning to physical activity. Referrals are accepted on a rolling basis and are accepted for a given semester until the program start date.
