“Fitlosophy”:
Growing up, I struggled to find a sense of who I am. I thought I had to limit myself to one box and as much as I tried to, I could not make any of them fit. I love to stay in and read, but I rarely turn down a night out with friends. I am as committed as can be to school and my future, but I have dropped everything at a moment’s notice to be there for my family. I follow the 80/20 mentality to eat healthy- I love a salad, but a cookie is a cookie. My point with this, I like balance, I like variety, and I like trying new things. I went from a life in volleyball to exploring bodybuilding, powerlifting, and now CrossFit. I foster this same feeling of curiosity and spirit of change in my clients. Whatever their reason for seeking out my help, whether they love cardio and abs or lifting as heavy as possible, I want them to know that there are no bounds to their fitness journey. Progress looks different for everyone, and it is enough sometimes to just show up. Growth is not just physical, and it is never linear- I urge my clients to find what motivates them and turn it into discipline and consistency. Always remember: you show up for yourself, not for anyone else.
