To register for the Instructor Training Course, you must first attend a Group Audition. Registration opens October 14, 2024 at 12 a.m. Auditions are held at Southwest Rec Center Activity Room 3, November 15, 2024 during the following time slots:

PERSONAL TRAINER PREPARATION COURSE
This Spring semester 12-week personal training certification preparation course will prepare participants for the nationally accredited (NCCA) National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certification Exam. This class consists of educational presentations and hands-on activities related to core fitness areas including: exercise program design, human movement science, assessment of posture and function, liability and risk, nutrition, behavior change, and communication. No prior experience is required.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications are accepted during each Fall semester until December 1st of the corresponding term. Applicants can expect to receive a decision within two weeks of the application deadline.

Course operating costs: $150 paid directly to Recreational Sports via recsports.ufl.edu
Failure to register with RecSports by January 1st will result in forfeit of roster reservation to other students on the waitlist.
NASM Certification Course and Exam: $519 (with discount code) paid directly to NASM (due before 24 hours before first class of course, or your reserved class spot is forfeited)
UF RecSports has partnered with Kardiya Yoga to offer you a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. This training is perfect if you’re interested in becoming a yoga instructor or adding a new depth to your personal yoga practice. In this course you will learn to:

Course Details
This course will run one weekend per month from September – April, and upon completion you will be eligible to become a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Registration closes September 15, 2024.
