Hike down the Art Loeb trail and enjoy the grand vistas Black Balsam has to show you! Located in North Carolina’s Pisgah National Forest, Black Balsam provides breath-taking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Experience the fresh mountain air on one of our favorite places to backpack! Expect full days of hiking. The trip will leave early in the morning on Friday and return late Sunday evening.

REGISTRATION DOES NOT INCLUDE:

CHALLENGE LEVEL = MEDIUM

This trip includes hiking with a heavy backpack over mountainous terrain with some elevation gains and losses. All CORE trips include instruction on basic backpacking skills, but expect to be challenged physically on this trip.

REFUND POLICY:

1. Trips can not be transferred.
2. Trip refunds will be granted only if:
   1. Trip is cancelled by CORE.
   2. A paid replacement has been found.
   3. A $10 base processing charge or 15% of the registration price, whichever is greater, will be assessed.
3. Replacement requests must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled service offering start date.
4. Participant has documented medical circumstances preventing participation.
