This course is designed to recertify those who are currently certified or expired no more than 1 year as an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor or Instructor Trainer. The course allows participants to review lifeguarding course content and practice skills in a formal class setting. Successful candidates must demonstrate proficiency in all skills and scenarios throughout the course, participate in all course activities, and successfully complete the instructor course written exam with a score of at least 80%.

Prerequisites:

Possess a current (or expired no more than 1 year) American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Certification and/or
Possess a current (or expired no more than 1 year) American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Trainer Certification

Participants may “opt-in” to participate in an additional hour of class to recertify their basic level lifeguarding certification, for an additional cost of $40.
