Lights, Camera, Action! The July Photo Challenge is Back!

In the era of Insta-Fame, you don’t want to miss out on our July Photo Challenge.  Are your selfies championship material? Put your skills to the test July 15 – July 19 for a chance to win an instant camera.

Follow the daily themes and post photos/videos that showcase how you #LiveInMotion. At the end of the challenge, all participants who post every day will receive an exclusive t-shirt.


Follow our calendar below and post your own photo/videos to Instagram showing how you interpret the theme. Need creative inspiration? Follow @UFRecSports for examples of what we’re looking for!


  • Be creative! You can interpret the theme in all kinds of ways—all in the spirit of healthy, active living.
  • Remember to tag @UFRecSports in each Photo Challenge post so that we have the opportunity to showcase your photos!
  • Make sure your Instagram is public so we can see your post

Terms and Conditions

Participants are expected to showcase photos that promote healthy, active living leading to positive health outcomes and collegiate success.

Participants are subject to the policies and expectations of the social media platforms used—Instagram, including but not limited to restrictions on the use of copyrighted content.

UF policies apply, including but not limited to student code of conduct and acceptable use of information technology policies.

Awards and swag are subject to availability, and only current and fee-paying UF students are eligible unless specifically noted in the posted challenge instructions. However, students who have been admitted and will start classes at UF in August 2019 (fall semester) are also eligible for swag and awards. Swag and awards must be picked up within 10 business days of award announcement at Southwest Recreation Center, 3150 Hull Road, Gainesville, FL 32611, during regular administrative business hours (posted on Note: Facility hours for the gym differ from administrative hours.  UFID or Driver’s License is required to pick up awards, and you may be asked to show your honored or qualifying post.

Content submitted by participants may be used in promotional materials for UF RecSports, including but not limited to printed materials, social media and digital marketing.  Such use of content by UF RecSports aims at encouraging healthy, active living among the University of Florida community.
