The O’Connell Center Pool is located on the lower level of the Stephen C. O’Connell Center between Gates 2 and 3. This indoor facility boasts an 8 lane Olympic size pool (50 meters) that can be divided into two 25 yard sections or two 25 meter sections.
The pool deck provides access to locker room facilities. The pool is also accessible by an aquatic lift to assist swimmers with disabilities.
Swim Shifts Information
Swim Shifts are the registration process for lap swim at the Florida Pool and O’Connell Center Pool. You are able to reserve a lane and a time to come to the pool. These Swim Shifts allow staff to limit the capacity in our space, while also providing times to clean high traffic areas in between sessions.
In a Swim Shift, you are able to register for a 45 minute block of time, but its important to note that some time will be used for check-in. The 15 minutes in between each block are used to clear the deck in order to disinfect and prep for the next group.
Registration for the Swim Shifts can be found on RS Connect.
- Hours are subject to change for holidays, breaks when school is not in session, Gator football home games, maintenance, etc.
- Please check the Adjusted Hours page for scheduled closures and cancellations.
