This course is designed to review the lifeguarding skills and core knowledge points required to recertify in lifeguarding. Participants must hold a current or less than 30 days expired Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate. Certification is current for 2 years from the completion date.

Please note: if your Lifeguarding certification is expired, you must take the full Lifeguarding course, not this course.

Participants MUST attend all class dates and successfully pass a Pre-Course water skills session and written test.

Refund Policy

Certification Courses may be granted a refund under the following circumstances:

a. In the event of cancellation by RecSports.

b. In the event the registered participant has documented medical circumstances that will not allow them to participate.

c. Lifeguard & Instructor classes: a partial refund may be provided in the event a registered participant does not pass the prerequisite skills evaluation. A $50 administrative charge will be deducted from the refund amount.

2. Transfer of Course Registration

a. A registered participant may request a transfer to a different offering of the same course for no additional cost.

b. Transfer requests must be made in writing before the course begins and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
