The American Red Cross Blended Learning Lifeguarding course is designed to teach lifeguard skills in a dual learning format, through eLearning activities and in person sessions. Participants will gain the knowledge to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services take over. This course is designed for individuals who want to pursue a job as a certified lifeguard. Certification is current for 2 years and includes Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED.
The course includes an online portion and instructor-led classroom skills sessions. The link to access the online session will be provided up to 1 week prior to the course date. The online course takes approximately 7 hours to complete.
Participants must attend all class dates & pass prerequisite swimming skills evaluation

Refund Policy
Certification Courses may be granted a refund under the following circumstances:
a. In the event of cancellation by RecSports.
b. In the event the registered participant has documented medical circumstances that will not allow them to participate.
c. Lifeguard & Instructor classes: a partial refund may be provided in the event a registered participant does not pass the prerequisite skills evaluation. A $50 administrative charge will be deducted from the refund amount.
Transfer of Course Registration
a. A registered participant may request a transfer to a different offering of the same course for no additional cost.
