Hike and backpack through the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains! Explore the waterfalls and wilderness of Pisgah National Forest and enjoy fresh mountain air while learning the skills necessary to backpack.

This TRiP will leave early Friday morning and return late Sunday evening.

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

  • Group camping equipment (tents etc.)
  • All meals (usually vegetarian)
  • TRANSPORTATION
  • Experienced Guides

REGISTRATION DOES NOT INCLUDE:

AMENITIES:

  • Backcountry camping
  • No electricity
  • No running water
  • No flushing toilets
  • No showers

CHALLENGE LEVEL = EASY

This trip includes hiking with a heavy backpack over mountainous terrain with some elevation gains and losses. All CORE trips include instruction on basic backpacking skills, but expect to be challenged physically on this trip.

REFUND POLICY:

  1. Trips cannot be transferred.
  2. Trip refunds will be granted only if:
    1. Trip is cancelled by CORE.
    2. A paid replacement has been found.
    3. A $10 base processing charge or 15% of the registration price, whichever is greater, will be assessed.
  3. Replacement requests must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled service offering start date.
  4. Participant has documented medical circumstances preventing participation.
