This course is designed to recertify those currently certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor or Instructor Trainer. The course allows participants to review lifeguarding course content and practice skills in a formal class setting. Certification is current for 2 years from the completion date.

The course includes an online portion and instructor-led classroom skills sessions. The link to access the online session will be provided up to 1 week prior to the course date. The online course takes approximately 2 hours, 30 minutes to complete.

Prerequisites:

Possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor or Instructor Trainer certificate.
Successfully complete the Online Session for the Lifeguarding Instructor course.
Successfully complete the Pre-course Skills Session

 

Participants MUST attend all class dates, demonstrate proficiency in all skills and scenarios throughout the course, and pass a written test.

 

Add on: Renew Basic Level Lifeguarding Certification

 

Participants may “opt-in” to participate in an additional hour of class to recertify their basic level lifeguarding certification –requires an additional financial cost.
