Wilderness First Responder (WFR) is the industry standard for backcountry trip leaders, camp counselors, mountain guides, river guides, and ski guides. This course is also great for people curious to learn more about emergency response in remote location. You will leave this course ready to make critical medical and evacuation decisions in remote locations. You will also learn the standards for extended patient care.

This 9-day, 72-hour course will be taught by a highly experienced SOLO Florida instructors. The course will meet at The Center for Outdoor Recreation and Education (CORE) (1441 Bledsoe Drive) and will also include many sessions at Lake Wauburg North Shore and a night-time scenario at Goldhead State Park in Ocala National Forest.

Basic CPR Certification is included in the registration price.

There will be a mixture of classroom lectures and realistic scenarios in the outdoor setting (regardless of weather). Come prepared for a hot and rainy environments.
