Pay Information

PAY INFORMATION

  • Pay periods extend two weeks and paychecks will be administered every other Friday. An automated email will be sent to your inbox when your paycheck is ready to be viewed.
  • UF Payroll recognizes Friday through Thursday as a payroll week, therefore it is critical that you monitor your hours for each Friday- Thursday and remain within 20 hours in this time period unless you have an hours of extension that allows you to work up to 31 hours.
  • While your paycheck will show Friday through Thursday dates, RecSports pay dates do not follow this timeline. Time is uploaded from Time.Recsports and our department payroll week is Wednesday through Tuesday, therefore time will be paid two days behind the dates listed on your paychecks. The exact schedule of RecSports paydays can be found in the chart below.
  • Reference this Paycheck and Time & Labor Launch Pad Instructional Guide for details when accessing your Time & Labor Launch Pad, viewing your paycheck, or navigating questions about your pay.
  • If you have questions regarding your paycheck, please contact your Professional Staff Supervisor if your questions cannot be answered here.

Minimum Wage Increase

In November 2020, Florida voters approved to increase the state’s minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2026. The state is implementing a phased approach in which the minimum wage will increase $1 per year on September 30 according to the following schedule:

• $12.00 on September 30, 2023
• $13.00 on September 30, 2024
• $14.00 on September 30, 2025
• $15.00 on September 30, 2026

Salary compression exists in an organization when the wage of entry-level positions rival that of supervisory or more experienced positions. To manage salary compression, RecSports is increasing pay at varying degrees for all student positions. Your Professional Staff Supervisor can share the specific pay rates for your particular program area.
