Talent Management Program Assistant

The Talent Management Team provides an internal service to our student employees and professional staff members. Student employees are at the heart of our focus and we directly impact the employee experience in some capacity from start to finish. Talent Management's projects and initiatives include components related to hiring and recruitment, onboarding, training, development, recognition and belonging, and offboarding.

RecSports Team Member Responsibilities

  • Develop professional relationships with co-workers, participants, and guests
  • Uphold and exceed the expectations of the cornerstones of RecSports service: Accountability, Anticipating needs, Attitude, and Atmosphere
  • Demonstrate a desire to learn and apply knowledge as a RecSports ambassador
  • Take ownership of RecSports facilities and programs by exhibiting a responsible work ethic
  • Promote and maintain cleanliness and appearance within and around RecSports facilities
  • Enforce RecSports policies and procedures to promote participant safety and satisfaction
  • Respond to all emergency situations and adhere to established protocol including pre- and post- incident procedures
  • All RecSports employees are expected to abide by the RecSports Code of Conduct process that clarifies shared expectations and standards in effort to best serve our patrons, develop each team member, and prepare student employees for future career endeavors

Requirements/Qualifications

  • University of Florida Undergraduate or Graduate student
  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Department-Wide Onboarding in late July
  • Unit Trainings in mid-August

Timeline for Spring Start Date:

  • Interviews in November
  • Department-Wide Onboarding in early December
  • Unit Trainings in mid-December or early January

Timeline for Summer A Start Date:

  • Interviews in March
  • Department-Wide Onboarding in April
  • Unit Trainings in late April or early May

Timeline for Summer B Start Date:

  • Interviews in late May or early June
  • Department-Wide Onboarding in mid-June
  • Unit Trainings in late June
